This week’s project was all about creating a cozy three‑bedroom weekend cabin overlooking a beautiful mountain lake. We aimed for roughly 1,500 sq. ft. of living space—no small feat for a compact retreat like this—but the challenge made the final design even more rewarding. Nestled in the mountains, this cabin embraces outdoor living with generous spaces that invite you to step outside, breathe deeply, and take in the scenery.
I’m absolutely in love with how this little cabin turned out. The black trim paired with the rich, dark wood exterior gives it a warm, modern charm, and the wrap‑around deck ensures the owners can enjoy stunning views from every angle. It’s the kind of place that feels like a getaway the moment you arrive.
Projects like this are just one example of what we do here at Eby’s Drafting and Design. Whether you’re dreaming of a small cabin, planning an addition, or envisioning a much larger home, we’re excited to help bring your ideas to life. We look forward to working with you on your next project and creating a space you’ll love coming home to.
