When I look back through some of the designs we created last year, one particular home immediately comes to mind. Built on a beautiful wooded lot with an incredible view, this home offered a unique opportunity to make the surrounding landscape an important part of the design.
Because of the building site, we incorporated plenty of large windows throughout the home. The result is a space filled with natural light and beautiful views from nearly every room. Whether you’re enjoying your morning coffee, gathering with family and friends, or simply relaxing at the end of the day, the outdoors always feels close by.
Some of my favorite projects are homes that combine a modern flair with the warmth and character of natural materials. I love incorporating large windows, soaring ceilings, and open spaces, while balancing those modern elements with beautiful wood finishes, substantial wood beams, and natural stone veneers.
There’s something special about that combination. The clean lines and openness of a modern design create a fresh, contemporary feel, while wood and stone bring warmth, texture, and a timeless connection to nature. When those elements come together, the finished home can feel both striking and incredibly comfortable — a place that looks beautiful today and will continue to feel inviting for years to come.
Every home and every building site is unique, and that’s one of the things we enjoy most about what we do. We love getting to know our clients, hearing their ideas, and turning their vision into a home that truly feels like their own.
We look forward to working with you on your next project! Give us a call today to set up an appointment. We would love to meet you, hear about your ideas, and start talking about your dream design.
